WOMEN'S AVIATION DAY at Van Sant Airfield
Friday, August 23, 2024


The event at Van Sant Airfield is a free, fun, day-long event which will introduce women of flying age (age 14 and up) to aviation through various presentations and discussions with a panel of women in general, commercial and military aviation, air traffic control, and maintenance. As an Eastern Pa 99s Let’s Fly Now! Event there will also be free introductory rides (pre-registration required). The aim is to foster a supportive environment that encourages dialogue and dismantles barriers that may hinder women from pursuing dreams and opportunities in aerospace.

Let's Fly Now! is a Ninety-Nines' signature introductory flight program developed in 2018. Let's Fly Now! targets women of flying age. Airplanes, fuel, and time are donated by Ninety-Nines, Friends of The Ninety-Nines, and other properly certified pilots for the introductory flights.
